PROJECT DESCRIPTION

This project is an ADU addition to the client backyard where he wanted a modern, higher-end design that would interest future tenants and fit in within the neighborhood. The house is a total of 160m2 with an open floor plan design featuring a living room and a kitchen on the ground level and two bedrooms on the second floor along with a patio. The facade study included three options: 1) A protruding wooden box to give the face a 3D dimensional look. 2) A recessed patio outlined by a stone strip to add texture to the material palette. And lastly, 3) A cantilevered patio with columns framing the entrance.
